Kicking off a new month, we transition out of the remaining summer days and welcome a brisk new coolness into our life. September marks the start of the harvest season and welcomes in many new energies aligned with property and abundance. With its powerful energies of focus, success, and motivation guiding the way, this is likely to be a good month for signs to reflect and reevaluate things in their life and channel more inspiration and ideas towards their endeavors. However, with the slowness of a new season also creeping in, this is likely to bring some restful energies into your life that are likely to encourage a more stable and steady flow towards creating a joyous life that is meant to nurture you.Â
With that said, for the first half of the month, we will be led by the Virgo sign, pushing energies of hard work and focus into our space. This is likely to have us focusing more on making progress on any important goals in our lives and help to bring a more grounded and open perspective to life. This could also inspire new ideas, new creativity, and an overall more fun-loving look at life. Virgo could even help us to tie up any loose ends in our lives and bring a close to previous chapters to help us move forward.Â
As from this, some key influences happening from Mercury and Venus this month are also likely to affect us in a number of ways. To start, on the 5th, Venus will enter the focused sign of Virgo, which could bring a practical tone to our love life and boost our ability to manifest new things in love. This could have us more willing to go out of our way for those we care for and also have us seeking some gentle love and care in our own life. To follow, on the 9th, Mercury retrograde in the Libra sign begins and could cause some friction with the balance in our life. All signs will need to be careful not to lash out or fall into toxic patterns of the past. Work to maintain balance and keep your eyes forward. Then, on September 22nd, we welcome the Autumn Equinox, pushing us to find balance within ourselves and focus our energy. This is a time to focus on gratitude, rebirth within ourselves, and quiet, contemplative ease into new beginnings. And lastly, on the 23rd, we also transition into the season of the Libra, pushing us to renew our energy, find balance, and focus more on personal expression.Â
As you can see, September is likely to be full of many different energies that are likely to offer us a chance to focus more on bettering ourselves.Â

Often referred to as the Midsummer or the Summer Solstice, Litha is a high-spirited fire sabbat full of buoyancy and merriment. With the earth coming alive, the sun is beaming, and nature flourishing, this is a time for reconnecting with the cycles of nature and honoring the growing light within ourselves and all around us.

As we move out of the chaotic month of November, we begin making our way into the healing month of December, welcoming in a plethora of new energies. Finally, the intense vibes of Scorpio season that left many of us feeling emotionally vulnerable last month have passed, and we now enter the cold month of December feeling hopeful, as this month is all about living it up the way you deserve.Â
With that said, starting on November 21st, we kicked off the ambitious and adventurous Sagittarius season, preparing us for a month of adventure ahead. More than anything, Sagittarius is very fun-loving and always has a special way of guiding us to a more positive headspace to start living a more fulfilling life. Not to mention, the Sagittarius is also ruled by Jupiter, the planet of expansion and luck. Therefore, we can expect some new changes to enter our lives as we become more clear with the life we want to live.Â
Aside from this, this month, we will also be wrapping up the last eclipse of this year with a total solar eclipse in Sagittarius on December 4th. Because of its nature, this will likely stir up feelings of closure as well as clearer insight for all signs, which could either bring about a new inspired vision or some repressed emotions that you need to work through. Either way, trusting your intuition will be the way to get through it. To follow, we then have a full moon in Gemini making its way into our space on December 18th, followed by a retrograde in Venus hours later, which could stir up an uncertain but powerful time for cleansing and release in our relationships as we become more in touch with ourselves, our worth, and our values. And finally, this is then topped off by the Winter Solstice as well as the start of the Capricorn season on December 21st-22nd, marking the beginning of winter, pushing us to bundle deep within ourselves as we go through a powerful period of reflection.Â
Overall, as you can see, December is going to be packed with powerful energy that will help to guide us to further alignment this month. With that said, to give you some insight into what you can expect to feel personally throughout the month, today, we're going to touch on what energies and changes each Zodiac sign can expect throughout December and how you can truly make the most of it.Â

Welcome to our collective favourite season, witchy folk! Perhaps that’s a generalization, but the Autumnal vibes are an absolute mood in the spiritual community, and for so many reasons. This season we have two Sabbats to celebrate; the first of those is Mabon, otherwise known as the Autumn Equinox, and the hemispherical counterpart to Ostara, in which we celebrate the Spring Equinox.Â
Not only is Autumn the season of flavoured lattes and pumpkins, it is the season of the colours of the Earth – oranges and reds and browns, greens and glorious yellows. We have beautiful harvest vegetables and burgeoning berries; a veritable feast of offerings from our beautiful Mother Earth to celebrate.Â
For Mabon, we focus on the beginning of the end of the harvest season and the descent into wintery darkness. Spiritually, we are reaching the closing-down portion of the year – as the days get shorter and the evenings are longer, we assess the outcomes of our labour (physical, financial, emotional, spiritual) across the past twelve months. Summer is celebration, and Autumn is when we reap what we’ve sown. So, as we draw towards the end of this summertime haze and commence the darkening and hibernation periods, we’re beginning to wind down business and take stock of what we’ve achieved.Â
Seasonal altars are a great way to focus our attentions and intentions towards that for which we are grateful, and the things that we want to manifest in our lives. Not only does the season dictate our physical activities, it also directs our spiritual lives, and the altar is the witch’s way of centring that energy.
With so much to love and celebrate about Autumn, let’s take a look at some traditional (and not-so-traditional) items to feature on our altars during this time.Â
