The month of April will be a powerful, transformative, and propelling month of highs and lows for all Zodiac signs. Not only are we now officially in the warm and opportunistic energy of spring, but we are also influenced by the sign of the impulsive and confident Aries, inspiring us to act on all our new ideas this month. Now is the time of celebration as we start planting seeds of change, preparing for the warmer months of summer to manifest them into fruition. However, even as our minds are spiraling forward on our hopes and dreams, thanks to Pluto, the planet of rebirth, we may also feel weighed down by the problems of the past this month. This will stir up feelings of uncertainty as we are asked to release bad habits to make way for new opportunities. While this transformation may make things a bit rough, it is necessary in order to reach our full potential. But don't worry, it won't all be bumping waters, as we will end the month on a good note as Venus, the planet of love, enters Taurus mid-month, giving us time to slow down and have a little fun.
With so much going on energetically this month, it can be hard to predict what's in store for each sign. So for today, we're going to touch on a little bit of what energies and changes each Zodiac sign can expect to feel throughout the powerful month of April and how your individual sign can truly make the most of it. Â

Let’s be real; not everyone can be open about witchcraft. Whether it’s due to living with a religious family or just not being entirely comfortable with sharing your practice, we get it. Sometimes it’s not in the cards, and other times you just aren’t ready. Either way, it’s totally okay. Your beliefs are yours and yours alone and you should never feel like you have to do anything in regards to expressing them to others. However, just because your beliefs may be kept a secret doesn’t mean pursuing them has to disappear from your life. In fact, there’s actually a ton of different ways that you can safely practice and learn about witchcraft in secret.
Today, we’re going to discuss everything having to do with the broomcloset, including a few ways you can practice in secret, and a few careful tips on how to leave the closet (if you’re ready). So, if you’re ready to talk all things magical and witchy, let’s dive in and get started.Â

Welcome to this blog post, Witches and Lovers! You and I may share almost the same sentiments towards the approaching Valentine's. One thought and your stomach are in knots? I feel you.
With the recent events centering around Covid-19, it is normal to feel nostalgic for the traditional romantic movie nights, long walks by the beach, restaurant dates, traveling in another city, what else? Name it, we all wish and yearn for this entire pandemic to soon be over. But just like Warren Buffett’s 5/25 Rule, why don’t we focus more on things that we can control and assess what really matters?
For one, it wouldn’t take time to reflect that what does matter is who we share this Valentines with and secondly, how we can make them feel more special during this event. After all, Valentine's doesn’t require any place or any terms at all as long as whatever we plan to do comes from our hearts.

Jar spells are incredibly handy and can be used for many intentions. Once you learn the basics you can use a jar spell for just about any magical goal. Jar spells are also known as container spells or bottle magick. A spell is sealed inside a jar or container; this is extremely popular in many traditions of folk magick.Â
The idea of a jar spell or bottle spell is it keeps the magick (intention) concentrated and prevents the spell from disbursing before it has had time to manifest into reality. The other nice thing about jar spells is that they are portable and can be discreet if they are tiny! You can take them just about anywhere! Be creative with your jars, paint them, add sigils, charms, herbs, liquid, honey, etc – the possibilities are endless.Â
Remember to think of things that give off the type of energy you are desiring to raise or attract. Use items that have personal meaning and use items that are associated with your particular intent.

What is kitchen witchery? This is a person who performs beautiful culinary magick right in the heart of the home, the kitchen! A Kitchen Witch is sometimes referred to as a Cottage Witch.Â
So many magickal things can happen right in our kitchens! Go into your kitchen right now and have a gander at the mundane and then think MAGICK! There are so many magickal, witchy tools hidden away in there and most are very easily accessible to us today. Do you have a wooden spoon? Make it your wand! A Cauldron? If you have an actual cooking cauldron, sweet! But do not fret if you do not have one, just pull out a Dutch oven, a pot, pan, or baking sheet. A wine glass could be your sacred chalice. Spices? Welcome to our collective favourite season, witchy folk! Perhaps that’s a generalization, but the Autumnal vibes are an absolute mood in the spiritual community, and for so many reasons. This season we have two Sabbats to celebrate; the first of those is Mabon, otherwise known as the Autumn Equinox, and the hemispherical counterpart to Ostara, in which we celebrate the Spring Equinox.Â
Not only is Autumn the season of flavoured lattes and pumpkins, it is the season of the colours of the Earth – oranges and reds and browns, greens and glorious yellows. We have beautiful harvest vegetables and burgeoning berries; a veritable feast of offerings from our beautiful Mother Earth to celebrate.Â
For Mabon, we focus on the beginning of the end of the harvest season and the descent into wintery darkness. Spiritually, we are reaching the closing-down portion of the year – as the days get shorter and the evenings are longer, we assess the outcomes of our labour (physical, financial, emotional, spiritual) across the past twelve months. Summer is celebration, and Autumn is when we reap what we’ve sown. So, as we draw towards the end of this summertime haze and commence the darkening and hibernation periods, we’re beginning to wind down business and take stock of what we’ve achieved.Â
Seasonal altars are a great way to focus our attentions and intentions towards that for which we are grateful, and the things that we want to manifest in our lives. Not only does the season dictate our physical activities, it also directs our spiritual lives, and the altar is the witch’s way of centring that energy.
With so much to love and celebrate about Autumn, let’s take a look at some traditional (and not-so-traditional) items to feature on our altars during this time.Â
