Special Protection Spell for Pandemic Times

When to use Protection Spells
We are currently in a very unusual time in our society with the COVID-19 pandemic. The uncertainty and lack of control can cause anxiety.  Now is a perfect time to cast a protection spell to shield yourself against negativity. Protection spells can be cast for yourself, someone else, a pet or even a physical structure like your home or office.

The pandemic began a few months back and our world is continuing to adjust our daily living. Wicca has become more popular recently with healing and protections spells requests increasing daily. When a client requests a spell-like this, we need to differentiate between the two.

Healing spells are used for someone that is sick either physically or emotionally. Healing spells can be done with someone that has an upcoming surgery, disease or to improve mental health such as depression. During COVID, we would use a healing spell if an individual has the virus. You can cast a spell on yourself or someone else to heal. When doing a healing spell for someone else, if they are not close to you, you can use a photo or article of theirs to cast the spell.

Protection spells are used to create a barrier around you against what you need protection from.   They clear negative energy, ward off unpleasant and unhealthy people and protect your spirit from negative influences. This spell can be done to protect you against the virus, shield you from negative energy you may be living with or protect someone you love.

This protection spell was specifically created during this pandemic to protect you against negativity and promote healing.

Items Needed:

  • White Sage
  • Blue Candle
  • White Candle
  • Tourmaline Crystal
  • Lavender Essential Oil or Incense

Begin by taking a bath. Turn on music that calms your mind and helps you to let go of anything that is weighing you down. Burning incense or putting essential oils in the bath will promote protection and healing as you get into the state of mind to cast the spell. Eucalyptus is a great scent to heal and protect specifically against illness. Juniper berry protects against negative people and energy.

After you bath, light the white sage and cleanse your space. Open your windows and watch as the negativity exits and will be replaced with positive healing energy. Close your windows and go to your altar.

Light your candles and lavender essential oil or incense. Place the tourmaline crystal in front of the candles. Sit down in front of the altar and take 5 deep breaths. Imagine the lavender entering your body, filling it with positive energy.

Open your eyes and focus on the flames. Place the crystal in your dominant hand. Watch as the candles burn and imagine they are creating a white light of protection to surround you. As the candles burn, your aura of protection gets stronger. Continue to sit and focus on the flame and the healing energy entering your body and your crystal.

Allow the candles to burn until they go out. If you leave the area, place the tourmaline crystal in front of the candles to charge it with the protective energy. When you are finished with the spell, imagine the white light of protection surrounding your body. It will continue to be there and if you feel it going away, repeat this spell. Keep the crystal close to you during the day and sleep with it by your bed to protect your dreams.

I wish you love, light and healing.

What is kitchen witchery? This is a person who performs beautiful culinary magick right in the heart of the home, the kitchen! A Kitchen Witch is sometimes referred to as a Cottage Witch.

So many magickal things can happen right in our kitchens! Go into your kitchen right now and have a gander at the mundane and then think MAGICK! There are so many magickal, witchy tools hidden away in there and most are very easily accessible to us today. Do you have a wooden spoon? Make it your wand! A Cauldron? If you have an actual cooking cauldron, sweet! But do not fret if you do not have one, just pull out a Dutch oven, a pot, pan, or baking sheet. A wine glass could be your sacred chalice. Spices? Just about every spice & herb is filled with a magickal correspondence!

New Beginning spell you can do during the new moon

First, make sure you’ve cleaned your home physically. Toss out things that no longer serve you. Disinfect, dust, vacuum; really make sure your space is “a fresh start”.
Next smoke cleanse your space. Grab a sage bundle or palo santo and walk your entire home, fanning the smoke and repeat, “Blessed smoke of the scared sage (or other herb of your choosing) cleanse and bless this home. Let the
negativity disperse like the sacred smoke leaving only purity and love behind.”
Repeat this until your entire home is cleansed or come up with your own little chant.
Because we want negativity to LEAVE the home, we will walk counterclockwise beginning at your front door and ending back at your front door.
The spell below should be done immediately after you have completed these tasks.

Witchy Tattoo Motifs
Witchy Tattoo Motifs

September 29, 2020

Tattooing is an art form that predates textually written history, with the earliest example dating as far back as 3400 BCE. It has been woven into numerous forms of religions, cultures, and events. Not surprisingly, tattooing is heavily prevalent in the witchcraft community as a way for practitioners to connect with their craft and identify their beliefs. With the rise of cultural classics such as American Horror Story: Coven, The Chilling Tales of Sabrina the Teenage Witch, and Shadow Hunters, witchcraft has begun to emerge from the shadows and claim it’s rightful place in the limelight of modern society. Of course, with this rejuvenation of public fascination and adoption of the craft, witchy tattoos are becoming the new norm for both witches and the witch-obsessed.
