It’s the spring season, which means the bees are buzzing, the earth is blooming, and it’s time to welcome in the energy of the season with some magical new rituals. Since springtime is aligned with the energies of manifestations, rebirth, cord-cutting, and realignment, this season is a wonderful time to initiate change in all areas of your life. It is a time to leave the past behind you, move forward with new intentions, and welcome all things fresh and new once and for all.
With so much energy around us this season, you may be wondering which is the best way to make the most of it. So, to help you do that, in this article, we’re going to share some of our favorite spring ritual ideas that you can do to help welcome this abundant and opportunistic time of the year in the most magical way possible. And the best part is, many of these can practiced by both those in and out of the broomcloset. Let's get started.
To start, since spring is a beautiful time of change and renewal, cleansing your home is a great idea. From decluttering to reorganizing, now is a great time to get things in order and get rid of things that are no longer serving you. However, in the midst of redecorating and purging your closet space, it’s also important to make sure you are energetically cleansing your home as well to give the energy of your space a total reset. While you can cleanse your space with a smudge stick or botanical spray, one way I love to cleanse my home in the springtime is to work with the fresh air outside for a natural detox.
For this, all you have to do is open your windows and welcome the outside air into your home. As it enters, you can focus your thoughts on releasing the stagnant energy in your space, welcoming in the fresh, abundant, and opportunistic energies of spring into your home as the breeze sweeps through. You could even take this a step further by opening your doors and sweeping towards them with your household broom to symbolize these energies being swept from your space. However simple, this is a great way to cleanse your space with the lively energies of nature and welcome the season into your home in a truly enchanting way.
Next, since spring is all about honoring the new life of the earth and the growing light of the sun, doing rituals aligned with the sun is another great idea. For this, you could make sun water on a windowsill, work on your garden, or even take a nature hike. However, one of our personal favorite rituals to do at this time is to go outside and meditate with the sun. Since Ostara, also known as the Spring Equinox, is believed to be linked with the Goddess Eostre, known to be the Goddess of the Spring and Dawn, it was traditional to wake at dawn and watch the sunrise throughout the spring to align better with her energy and show your gratitude for the rising light.
For that reason, if you want to partake in a simple springtime ritual, try to make it a goal to get out and meditate with the sunrise as often as you can. Not only can this help you to embrace the healing energy of the sun and honor the rebirth of mother nature, but it can also help you to reconnect with the springtime deities, as well as hone in more on your own inner rising light. You could even take this a step further and meditate with crystals that connect with the sun, such as amber, carnelian, sunstone, tiger's eye, or citrine. Whatever you choose, meditating with the sun, either in the morning, midday, or at sunrise, is a great way to align more with all the abundant energies of spring and welcome the many new changes that the season has to offer.
Aside from the sun, since spring is also to get outdoors more when many of us prepare our gardens for the new season, an excellent ritual you can do at this time is an intentional seed ritual. While this ritual can be done for many different purposes, it is most commonly done to help cast your intentions for the season to help you manifest your goals.
With that said, you can begin this ritual by holding a few seeds in your hand and taking a moment to focus on what you want to manifest. Whether it’s manifesting an opportunity for a new job or a new creative endeavor, you’ll want to focus only on this thought and watch it come to life in your mind, and then send that energy into the seeds. Our favorite way to do this is to visualize a white light going down your arms and into your hands, filling the seed with this intention, leaving them glowing. Once the seeds feel charged with your intent, you can then plant them in the dirt, being sure to keep your thoughts positive as you do.
After this, you can then sprinkle water over your seeds using your fingertips, allowing this to symbolize the watering of your goals. If you have moon or sun water that you have made that aligns with these intentions and that doesn’t have any oils, salts, or herbs in it, you could also use this to water your seeds as well.
Lastly, take your planting pot between your hands, and send one last intention of growing new life into the seeds. If it helps, you can visualize a glowing white light rising and growing from within the pot to make it a little easier. After this, find a safe spot to keep your newly potted plant where it can thrive, and be sure to visit it each day, sending a nurturing thought into it as you pass it to help keep your intention strong and on track all season long.
Next, aside from intention setting, cleansing, and expressing gratitude, with the fertility of the earth expanding, spring is also a beautiful time of honing in more on your divine feminine energy and putting more emphasis on loving yourself. For that reason, a nurturing self-love ritual is another great way to embrace the energy of this season. And one of our favorite ways to do that is with a calming floral bath.
To start your bath ritual, you can first begin by setting the mood in the bathroom by cleansing your bathtub of lingering energy with a smudge or a quick wash. This can help to ground the energy of the space and get rid of any lingering energy that may have collected in it over time.
After this, you’ll want to focus on creating the perfect ambiance for relaxation. For this, you might consider lighting some of your favorite candles, placing some water-safe crystals on the side of the bath, turning on an oil diffuser, or even putting on some zen music. Whatever it is that makes you feel totally calm and serene, be sure to add it to your space to create the ultimate rejuvenating environment to decompress in.
After the ambiance has been set, you can then begin to add some of your favorite things to the bath itself, such as soothing bath oils, bubbles, or Epsom salts. For this, we love to sprinkle some of our favorite flower petals on the top to honor the blooming spring energies as well as welcome in energies of self-love. Of course, this is always optional and is up to your own personal preference.
After the bath is prepared, and the ambiance is set, take a moment to place your hands on the side of the bathtub and visualize the energies of self-love, grounding, divine healing, or any other intention you wish to set being sent into the water to heal you. Again, you can do this by visualizing white light carrying this intention down your arms, into your hands, and into the water. Once the intent feels strong, you can then climb into the bath.
After you get into the bath, you can then begin to clear your mind and absorb the healing energies you have sent into the water, focusing on aligning, cleansing, letting go, and grounding your energy. To take this a step further, you can then begin to gently wash your body, visualizing yourself scrubbing away any old energies lingering mentally, physically, and spiritually that you do not wish to keep, allowing them to rinse off of you with ease.
Lastly, after the ritual is complete, you can then give thanks for this cleansing and close your ritual by draining the water, visualizing the energy you washed off going down the drain once and for all. More than anything, this ritual is just a simple way to channel more sacred love for yourself and cleanse your aura easily in your daily routine. However, please remember to collect any flower petals or herbs you may have added to the water before draining the bath, as these can clog and damage your drain. Also, make sure you scrub your bathtub or shower very carefully before your next use if you used oils, bubbles, or salts, as residue may be left behind and can make it very slippery.
And lastly, as with any change of the season, spring is also a great time to do a little reflection. Since spring is rich in the energies of new beginnings, reflection, and gratitude, this is a great time to reflect on all you have in your life that you have to be grateful for, what you wish to grow with, and what you wish to leave behind. With that said, my favorite way to do this is to write down what I am grateful for/wish to manifest on one paper and what I wish to let go of on another paper and then burn them both in a fire-safe container.
For this, you’ll first want to start by focusing on the things you wish to let go of. This could be something as general as the term stress and all that it entails or something as specific as an individual problem you may be struggling with. Whatever it is, take your time and really focus on each item that you write down, sending it away with thoughts of banishment in your mind as you write it. Once you are done writing, carefully light the paper and place it in a fire-safe container, allowing the fire to burn these energies out of your life and expel their energy once and for all. Once the paper is burned, reassure yourself that these energies have now lifted from you, allowing you to feel weightless and free.
After you let go of the negative energies around you, you can then take your other piece of paper and focus on what you’re grateful for and what you wish to manifest in your life.
For this, you could simply write down the term happiness, focusing on what that word means to you, or get specific with a certain goal or intention you may have. Either way, once you have spent time focusing deeply on each item written on the paper in positive thought, you can then burn the paper, allowing the fire to ignite these intentions and burn them into reality, empowering you to chase after all of your dreams with a new inspired vision.
Above all else, this simple ritual can help you to ground and gather your thoughts to align more with where you are now and where you want to be in the near future and can help to keep you on track all throughout the journey. However, please remember to always take precautionary measures and be extremely careful when working with fire. And of course, never burn a fire in a non-fire-safe container and never leave any fire or flame unattended.
Overall, spring is an opportunistic time of the year that is rich in new beginnings, rebirth, and healing on many different levels. No matter which ritual you decide to do throughout the season, now is a great time to focus on channeling more energy, confidence, and happiness in your life to welcome the abundant seasonal changes in a variety of unique ways. Above all else, we hope this article has given you some new ideas for how to get creative with the spring energy around us to make the most of this opportunistic time of year in a truly magical way.

Fan of the dilly-dally? Our relationship game is on the starting block for this Total Solar Eclipse in Aries. It’s up to you to surrender to your true love nature to heal a sense of identity OR keep the mask on until the next eclipse season. Let the Nesters unite! You’re not alone, as our collective psyche as a species is going to have this axis eclipsed. Think war & peace, sport & rest, Mars & Venus, Aries & Libra.
What’s under review for this total solar eclipse? The potential balance of our true cardinal fire nature (Aries) coupled with our diplomatic and conditioned peace-at-all-costs (Libra) is up for an overhaul review (oh, is that all…). Why is it more pronounced for us this time around? Because the North Node of the Moon s currently transiting Aries and the collective has Pluto’s ingress to Aquarius supporting evolution at this time: freedom to be. Can’t put it any simpler!
