The new year is upon us, Zodiac signs, and it’s likely to be a big one. While 2022 was thought to be a year of insight, growth, and clarity for many of the signs, 2023 is likely to be a big one for change and alignment. While there are still likely to be trying times that challenge us and push us toward growth, this year is likely to help us stick closer to our divine path than ever before.
With that said, the year is going to kick off bright with a lot of energy for many of the signs, but it could also be a bit slow-moving. This is because we will start the new year off with both Mercury retrograde and Mars retrograde, which could make us feel slower, more irritable, and more emotional than usual. But thankfully, this will end before January is over, and we should have no problem getting back on track. In March, Saturn, the planet of responsibility, will enter the Pisces sign, which is likely to encourage the path ahead to clear and could help manifestations fall into place more easily. Later in the month, Pluto in Aquarius will likely bring changes to our lives that could have the potential to be quite big. As such, this is likely to be an auspicious time for the signs to align more with their destiny, as big changes are likely to begin pushing you in new directions.Â

As we move through into the summer season, we get ready to welcome our next sabbat on June 21st, known as Litha. Often referred to as the Midsummer or the Summer Solstice, Litha is a high-spirited fire sabbat full of buoyancy and merriment. With the earth coming alive, the sun is beaming, and nature flourishing, this is a time for reconnecting with the cycles of nature and honoring the growing light within ourselves and all around us.
Throughout time, Litha was often deemed a time for celebrating the Goddess in her pregnancy, while the Sun God continues to rise until he reaches full strength. For that reason, people would often hold bountiful feasts, perform ceremonial dances, and host bonfires to honor his light and her fertility. However, as the longest day and shortest night of the year, for many, Litha is also a powerful time of honoring our own inner light and coming into our own peak of strength, making this an excellent time for rebirth and change within ourselves.Â
With so many warm and jovial energies circling around us now, there are many fun and exciting things you can do at this time to honor the energies all around us. So for today, we’re going to share 10 of our favorite rituals you can do to celebrate Litha and welcome in all the healing energy of this summer sabbat in a beautiful new way. Let’s get started.Â

Welcome to our collective favourite season, witchy folk! Perhaps that’s a generalization, but the Autumnal vibes are an absolute mood in the spiritual community, and for so many reasons. This season we have two Sabbats to celebrate; the first of those is Mabon, otherwise known as the Autumn Equinox, and the hemispherical counterpart to Ostara, in which we celebrate the Spring Equinox.Â
Not only is Autumn the season of flavoured lattes and pumpkins, it is the season of the colours of the Earth – oranges and reds and browns, greens and glorious yellows. We have beautiful harvest vegetables and burgeoning berries; a veritable feast of offerings from our beautiful Mother Earth to celebrate.Â
For Mabon, we focus on the beginning of the end of the harvest season and the descent into wintery darkness. Spiritually, we are reaching the closing-down portion of the year – as the days get shorter and the evenings are longer, we assess the outcomes of our labour (physical, financial, emotional, spiritual) across the past twelve months. Summer is celebration, and Autumn is when we reap what we’ve sown. So, as we draw towards the end of this summertime haze and commence the darkening and hibernation periods, we’re beginning to wind down business and take stock of what we’ve achieved.Â
Seasonal altars are a great way to focus our attentions and intentions towards that for which we are grateful, and the things that we want to manifest in our lives. Not only does the season dictate our physical activities, it also directs our spiritual lives, and the altar is the witch’s way of centring that energy.
With so much to love and celebrate about Autumn, let’s take a look at some traditional (and not-so-traditional) items to feature on our altars during this time.Â

If you’re unfamiliar to Yule, it is the annual Pagan celebration of the Winter Solstice. Many Wiccans also mark it as the rebirth of the Great horned hunter god. The event historically was celebrated with candles, bonfires, and/or the burning of the yule log. Since Yule is a celebration of the sun returning or being reborn, sources of light are a major part. People would then get together around the fire, share meals, and exchange gifts. The Yule holiday and traditions still continue today and are celebrated and mirror by many cultures and religions around the world.

The moon has always been fascinating to us human beings. Sometimes it is the subject of poets and artists, it keeps revealing beautiful discoveries to ufologists and scientists.Â
Nothing lights up the sky during the night like the moon. Everyone would gaze up to see and admire its beauty. Some would even offer to get the moon as a measure of their love. But the moon is more than just a fascinating celestial body. It exudes strong healing energy especially the full and new moon. The moon, especially the Full Moon, stirs up our emotions and amplify mystical powers. When the moon is shining bright and full it is best to harness energy for healing, the best time for meditating, recharging, and clearing chakras. This is why we celebrate it and why we have full moon rituals.Â
